NASA fuels Discovery for flight to space station

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – NASA is fueling space shuttle Discovery for a night flight to the international space station.

Forecasters expect ideal weather as well as a rising full moon for the 9:20 p.m. launch. The seven astronauts assigned to the two-week flight are up and getting ready for the big night.

Discovery is a month late in its mission to deliver the final set of solar wings to the space station. Liftoff originally was scheduled for mid-February, but concern about the shuttle's hydrogen gas valves resulted in four delays.

NASA officials say they're convinced the three valves aboard Discovery are safe to fly and won't break like one did during the last shuttle launch in November.
