Decorating the White House for the Obama’s – Michael Smith to the rescue

While the rest of America is looking forward to the swearing in of President elect Barack Obama, Michael Smith has something else on his mind. He is trying to figure out just how to decorate Malia and Sasha’s bedrooms.

Michelle Obama has appointed Michael Smith as their White House Interior Decorator. Smith says he is excited to tackle the job and when asked about decorating for the Obama’s states, "The family’s casual style, their interest in bringing 20th Century American artists to the forefront and utilizing affordable brands and products will serve as our guiding principles as we make the residence feel like their home."

Smith has decorated the homes for many other well known clients, including Stephen Spielberg, Dustin Hoffman Cindy Crawford, Rob Reiner and Rupert Murdoch.
